Description
Located in Tamarindo Preserve, the only Beachfront gated community of Tamarindo, this pure gem comes with a private pool, sundeck & luxuriant tropical garden. Its only a 2-min walking distance to the beach (direct access) and 5 min to all other amenities. Built with natural stone, travertine stone floors, and Venetian finish, this elegant and bright 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom villa comes fully furnished with AC, TV, fully equipped kitchen, BBQ and ensuite bathroom each with indoor/outdoor shower.
Construction information
There is a construction next door so depending on the construction phase, it can be more more or less active/noisy. For this reason the villa is offered at lower rates.
Layout
The first floor comprises the main living and dining area that comfortably seats 6, the kitchen, the guests 'bathroom.
Going upstairs, the two large bedrooms have each their own top-of-the-line bathrooms with an open-air garden behind the showers. This will make you feel as if you are bathing under some of Costa Rica’s beautiful waterfalls! The home also comes equipped with split A/Cs in each room. If you are not a fan of A/Cs, you'll be able to simply slide open the three sets of doors to experience true indoor/outdoor living and have that cross ventilation flowing.
Once outside, you will find a child-friendly pool, a covered patio that is perfect for entertaining, as well as a separate barbecue and dining area. All set in a tranquil garden setting, the outside area is one of the many highlights of this beautiful home.
Gated community and Beach club Membership
Tamarindo Preserve is a luxury beachfront gated community in Playa Langosta, one of the most popular Costa Rica luxury real estate communities. Our guests have a direct private access to the beach from the gated community and an exclusive access to the Langosta Beach Club, located at 3-5minutes walking distance from the villa.
Guest Access
The nearest international airport is Liberia Oduber, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes by car from the villa. San José International Airport is about a 4-hour drive away. Alternatively, Sansa Airlines offers domestic flights from San José to Tamarindo, which take around 40 minutes. We’re happy to help arrange airport transfers to and from the villa.

Really enjoyed staying at Casa Colibri.
Our family of four (with two teens) really enjoyed staying at Casa Colibri. It was spacious and located at quiet end of Tamarindo, close to Langosta. We appreciated the full kitchen, barbecue and cool plunge pool when we came back from the beach overheated. The location is in a gated community about a 10 minute walk to the beach down a side road. It was tricky to find the closest exterior gate for beach access, but the unit is close to the gate to Tamarindo Beach. Elodie had great, proactive communication with clear instructions, and was very responsive. The concierge company Noali Property Management (Maggie) was super helpful setting us up with SALT surfing lessons, golf cart rental, and transportation to the airport. There is access to Langosta Beach club (10-15 minute walk) with a small gym (5 max, requires reservations), pool, bar. We found it difficult to get a beach chair as they were always saved. We had a great stay over Christmas
We had a great stay over Christmas. Eloise was very responsive to all matters with the booking. Ariana, the concierge, was extremely helpful and managed to secure a golf cart for our stay even though the agencies were fully booked. The use of the beach club was a bonus.
We absolutely loved our experience!
Our stay at this Airbnb was truly exceptional. The space was beautifully maintained, spotless, and even better than the photos. Every detail—from the comfortable bedding to the well-stocked kitchen—made us feel right at home. We took advantage of the pools and Bbq!! The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, offering helpful tips and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The location was convenient and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We absolutely loved our experience and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, hassle-free stay.
Great place!
Great place that was far enough away from the downtown hustle of Tamarindo with a family. The beach was easy to get to - just make sure to go down through one of the gates so you know how to get back. Finding the gates on the beach is a bit difficult but not impossible. Eloide was very responsive and answered any questions we had. One thing to keep in mind is there are animals around. The howler monkeys every morning in the trees around the house was super fun for the kids. We did however have a night visit from some raccoons and a skunk that fortunately ended well so just be mindful if you want to leave the doors open in the evening. Otherwise a great stay and I would highly recommend.
The location was perfection
We had the most wonderful week at Colibrí 6-3! Our family of four including our almost adult children loved every moment here. The private beach access had the most incredible sunsets, the staff and location of the beach club were great, we loved walking to playa langosta, and ventured into tamarindo on foot and via car as well. The home felt private, quiet, and safe as well as being well equipped to cook simple delicious meals for our family. We loved taking a dip in the refreshing pool after a walk or a workout and the AC was wonderful at night when we were home. Beds were comfortable, indoor/outdoor showers private and also well sealed from the rest of the bathroom. I will miss showering under the stars! The location was perfection and elodie was a wonderful host! And as noted by others, this property will exceptionally clean! Would certainly return!
Would recommend!
Elodie's place was the perfect hub for our Costa Rican adventures! Walking distance from both the accessible Beach Club and the town of Tamarindo, you are able to feel like a local in the area perusing all that Playa Langosta and Tamarindo have to offer. A great little private pool, well-functioning A/C, and a usable kitchen all helped the place feel like home. Would recommend!
Exceeded everyone's expectations!
We absolutely loved our time at the Villa!! It was so beautiful and exceeded everyone's expectations. The staff was so friendly and helpful. It was truly a wonderful experience. We all want to go back again!!
Perfect Casa close to beach and town
Clean and comfortable villa. It was so rainy the first part of the trip so it was nice to have all the space. There are tons of birds and monkeys in the backyard which provided extra ambiance. Elodi was very responsive throughout all the planning, stay and helpful in booking a tour. Walking to the beach and restaurants was amazing! Yet quiet from bustling Tamarindo. We used the beach club a lot and the staff there was so friendly. It’s a luxury to have had that access. Outdoor showers are cool yet private! Would stay here again for sure. Having a golf cart was nice to get to and from town too.
Fantastic stay
We had a fantastic stay at this location. Communication from Elodie and Maggie was prompt and clear. They were very helpful as things came up on our trip. The house is well stocked with the necessities to enjoy a relaxing vacation including kitchen essentials, beach towels, and books to borrow. We appreciated the location of this unit as it is a bit farther from Tamarindo. The backyard is a beautiful spot to relax and the beach is a short walk away. A bonus perk is the use of the Langosta Beach club which my kids enjoyed using almost every day! We will definitely be back to enjoy this spot.
